Had a crafty play earlier and I must say it's left me with a thumbing headache. I've taken some headache tablets but no joy. This happens occasionally but lately it's happened everytime.
Anyone else had this and what did you do?

If you've had something paracetamol based you can take something Ibuprofen based too (or vice versa). To be fair I wouldn't necessarily take medical advice from a stranger on a forum but I have two children and when they've had fevers I've been assured by docs and nurses that the two groups are completely seperate and safe to take.
Hope it helps, at least you had something to show for your headache.
I hope it goes soon |

As a pharmacist in training I can vouch for the paracetamol/ibuprofen combi!
Personally if paracetamol's not working I'd nip down to your nearest chemist and ask for some Paramol - great for short term relief of any aches/pains that paracetamol isn't helping. I say short term because it's got dihydrocodeine in it, which as well as being addictive in the long term, will also bung your guts up. I take it for no more than 2 or 3 days at a time if I get bad period cramps etc.
Also, any chance you're dehydrated after playing? Depends on how much you exert yourself, but I very rarely get headaches and when I do it's 99% of the time because I haven't had enough liquids x |

"You need another orgasm straightaway
I'm the sort of girl that can't be touched for a few hours after an orgasm "
Is it because you used your new lube ? |

Thanks for the advice I've sent my fella to Boots to get me some. Having said that I don't drink much today all I've had is 2 cups of tea so maybe that's the cause. But great advice, thanks xxxx |

You're welcome
I'm the same, don't drink an awful lot either, usually a glass of juice with my lunch and one with dinner and that's it - so I really notice it if I've been out running etc - upsets the fluid balance, cue headache..
Hope the Paramol helps xx |

That`s one for the books......... Mrs Easyshare usually suffers an unexplainable headache before sex.
Hope you feel better soon. |

Paramol is great - I had root canal and was dreading the injection wearing off but it really helped. I was also going to suggest de-hydration too, it's a conscious effort to drink enough far enough ahead of a run even in winter. But if you don't. Ouch afterwards.
If the advice was good enough for my kids I was confident it was good to 'dispense' (gettit) but very grateful for your post.

Just remember Paramol is paracetamol based so if already taken paracetamol you won't be able to take Paramol immediately.

Netdoctor says:
First let me say that this is not an uncommon occurrence, and it does not mean there is anything seriously wrong with you, or your sexual activity.
There are generally considered to be two types of these headaches. In one, the excitement building up with sexual activity causes muscle contraction in the head and neck, and this causes head pain.
It usually builds up to a maximum just before or at orgasm, and soon goes away.
The second type is caused by changes in blood vessels in the head and is probably a form of migraine.
It is a very intense, severe headache usually occurring just before or during orgasm. It has been called an 'orgasmic headache' or 'orgasmic cephalalgic'
The pain may be around or behind the eyes, and can last from a few minutes to a few hours.
It can be treated effectively, sometimes with drugs called beta-blockers, and sometimes anti-migraine drugs can be effective, but they need to be taken before intercourse.
Once the headache is there it is too late. Very rarely is this sort of headache anything to worry about - but if it is increasing in severity, and accompanied by vomiting, nausea, stiffness of the neck or other symptoms, then it should be investigated.
If this continues to be a problem, do go and see your doctor. He or she will be aware of this problem, so don't be embarrassed. And it may be that some simple treatment will put a stop to it.
Yours sincerely

You're welcome. I asked my GP about it a few years ago. Lucky for me it only happened a few times. |
