The land of grey peas and bacon

So what is your Boxing Day ritual? I'm going to be on my own so might see if I can get a social or something and offer them baked ham and pickled onions

See whichever side of the family we didn't see on Christmas Day. This year it's my Mum, Dad and Sis coming to our place for dinner

We eat and drink ritually. What changes is the venue. We'll either be karaoking, playboard games or watching television. I'm taping a Carlos Acosta ballet that is on Christmas day to hopefully watch on Boxing day.

Boxing day is normally a big extension of Christmas day but without the presents. Our family christmases normally last until NYE as we spend a few days with mine and hubbies parents. It's exhausting, not good for the waistline but fun!

We have friends over. So lots of silliness, games, nibbles of the food variety, drinks. Maybe a d*unken fumble this year

I go with the ritual of Apis:

Sacrifice a bull and bathe in its warm blood.
