Mine was having root canal surgery that went wrong by a butcher dentist - he didn't give me enough anaesthetic and he almost ended up wit a "me-shaped" hole in his ceiling, I jumped out of the chair so much! I never went back. |

Funny you should mention that, the sarcastic registrar told me when i was admitted to A+E with kidney stones , now i know how women feel giving birth. |

"Knob trapped in fly zip.!! "
I remember a story going round my school, that a guy had done that when his mum caught him wanking over a porn mag, zipped up too quick and caught it in his flies- he had to have surgery on it apparently. His nickname at school from then on was Zippy! |

My top wisdom teeth were incredibly painful - quite possibly the most painful experience I've ever endured.
Until they were removed I could only eat soup, and if the spoon touched any of my teeth then I would be in agony and roll around on the floor until it subsided.
I was so glad to see the back of them.
Bottom ones were fine and are still in place (although it made wearing braces as a teenager pretty pointless). |

"Getting shot hurt a lot but i would say the nutter who put a fookin big knife through my back breaking 3 ribs has to be as painful as i have had. "
You are NOT allowed in her shoe cupboard.
You KNOW that.
Knife wound goes under 'self inflicted'.

A calcified disc in my neck rubbing against my spinal cord, along with a ruptured disc pressing on a nerve.
It went diagnosed as a trapped nerve for the best part of a year, during which time I tried stretching my left arm out (where a lot of the pain ran down) and tore the nerve and the long head of the triceps muscle.
I just wanted to faint but couldn't. R

A gallstone attack, god it was absolute agony, one of those pains where nothing eases it. I used to lie on my stone kitchen floor and beat out a rhythm with my fists just to try and focus on something. Thankfully Ive now had my gallbladder removed |

Had a vasectomy, surgeon was in a rush to get to the golf course, in between sticking the needle into the left side with the local aneathetic and cutting with the scalpel he lost concentration and cut the OTHER side!!!!
I screamed, the nurse screamed, the doc screamed, and I told him a few home truths about his parentage and the type of animal his mother had been!!!
Funnily enough, ever since then the mearest mention of accidents or injuries to THAT area have me wincing and crossing my legs!! |

4 dental abscesses. Holy Codeine Batman!
Pin from buckle filling sticking in a nerve in my jaw.
Broken toe in jiu jitsu lesson
Having long tweezers pull out bloody bandages that had stiffened after a rhinoplasty operation on my nose. Guy in the bed opposite said it felt like having your nuts pulled through your throat.
Turned out he was right |

"I stubbed my toe once...
just as bad as giving birth I hear..."
That reminded me of my ex-husband.
I've had four children: the first normally but I suffered a tear and needed stitches. The other three were caesarian sections.
My husband cut his finger filleting fish and ended up with three stitches in his finger. He returned from A&E and said, "I don't know what you made all the fuss about stitches for: I had three, it didn't hurt!" |

"the day I lost my son(stillbirth)!!!!
"
After two girls I had a son. He was born 10 weeks early as I had pre-eclampsia. After six weeks we were allowed to finally take him home. I've never been so happy: my life was absolutely perfect.
Two weeks later I woke up, my son didn't. He was warm but lifeless. I carried out cpr while my husband dialed 999. The ambulance crew arrived and took over, reviving him, but I knew it wasn't good.
12 hours later they turned off his life support and he died in his father's arms. I've never experienced a pain like it: it cripples you.
I've never been truly happy again either. 21 years on and there's still a taint of sadness I've not been able to shake. |

I too passed kidney stones - thought I was going to die, in fact death would have been welcome!! Never endured so much pain before or since. Muscles around the kidney area went into contraction due to the pain and I could not move at all - if I tried the pain was overwheming. Never want to go through that again (drink loads of water since!).
Some say that this the closest men will ever get to experiencing or understanding the pain of childbirth!!! Then why so many kids being born???

This, and the other post quoted, is pain that no-one should have to suffer. My sister`s only child was starved of oxygen for five minutes at birth and was born quadraplegic. My neice lived for 8 years, a constant battle of physio, drugs, drugs to counteract drugs, long periods in hospital and so on. Then there was the endless sleepless nights for my sister and her husband too.
Yes, pain. A different sort of pain, but still pain. It never goes away. |

I have been quite lucky so far, I have had a fishing hook stuck in my hand.
And on another occasion while out on the boat I had a 70lb Iron wieght drop on my right foot, luckily it only caught one toe, which was badly fractured, my god did that hurt and throb that evening!

for me a crash where i broke my coccyx, fractured my pelvis, shattered a vertibre, that wasnt my fav night of me life.
Followed closely by a double testicular tortion, which i think may be the closest thing to childbirth a guy can imagine...Although for the record i'm sure its not the same by a long way. Just remember saying knock me out as breathing exercises dont work in that situation lol

I am little miss pain honest to prescription!!
Had gallstones - was bad but had worse, got Hidradenitis Suppurativa - worse for long lasting, been over 5 years now of constant pain, but worse for pure shock and unexpectedness (is that even a word??? well it is now lol) was the trainee anetsywhatsit doing my spinal block when I was having youngest kid.
MY GOD felt like he was trying to do the operation without the surgeon opening me up
Was the hugest needle inbetween bones of my spine and he took 3 or 4 attempts, and they all wondered why I was in tears and bit my hubby, mind you he never held me while another man inflicted pain on me so he must have learnt

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
My small contributions to this world of pain.
I broke three metatarsals playing football. Went to hospital and the dr decided to put it in plaster (apparently it's not a necessity, he was just being thorough). Anyway, because they wanted me to be able to walk on the cast, they made a big deal of getting a flat sole on it - and a 90' angle between foot and leg. Which extends the calf muscle. About 4 hours later, said muscle starts to cramp. 8 hours later I persuaded my mum to take me back to the hospital where I had to wait for a free slot to appear in the cast removal area. I was weeping with pain, everyone else was healed.
The other one was a fractured front tooth. Doesn't sound like much, but when every breath, word, or item of food is going across open nerve endings, it's quite nasty. |

Has to be the Saturday morning in December 1995 when I very nearly cut my leg off with a chain saw closely followed by the time I crushed my sternum when playing rugby but that was more with hysterical laughter when the 53 seater coach that was taking me to hospital turned in to the hospital carpark and crushed a car between it and the wall |
