The fall of the berlin wall. That was my next posting when I was in the forces but left before it happened as I would have been there when it did.

Should have kissed Linda Moore at the bus stop when we were 15.

I know she wanted me to.

Idiot.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

A few years ago, an American company won the rights to run freight operations in this country. The head honcho was so amazed at the enthusiasm that came from the British enthusiast, he agreed to organise an enthusiast`s charter in his own part of the world for them. The tour was based around the companie`s head quarters in Chicago and went into the Souix terretories in Canada as well. I had the chance to buy a seat on this charter but my diss-interest in flying put off initially and when I finally plucked up the courage to book, the trip was full. In the end the head man made sure that not only was he on the trip for the whole week-long trip, he did his best to speak to everyone who went. His wife joined in too and was seen on several occasions serving food to passengers! There was talk of a second trip being organised but it sadly never materialised

I wish I had visited New York City in August 2001. I always wanted to go to the top of the World Trade Centre and the Empire State Building, alas I was too late.

I wish I had been old enough to embrace the Punk explosion in 1977, I was only 10 so my mum wouldnt allow me to have spiky red hair and rubber dresses

I think I've read about your love for NYC, we love it also, having been 9 times, we booked our trip yesterday for New years eve 2011 in NY.

Back to the OP, shift work prevented us, but we would like to have been at Heathrow witnessing the return of Concorde, one moment in history that'll never be repeated

in the night garden

There was one night four of us were kipping at my mates after a night out and we were all absolutely shit-faced.

Anyway when we woke up in the morning I was in a bedroom lying on the floor. All the beds had been pushed out into the landing from the bedrooms and there was piss all over the radiator and a telly. To this day know one remembers what happened.

I would have loved to have witnessed that.

The very first World Tiddlywinks Championship held in New Orleans in 1896 when the outsider 'Chipper' Hardy scored a last second win from 35 yards....damn, why was I born too late?
