I find people telling me that I'm 'pretty' to be problematic, because I'm someone who actively campaigns against gender stereotypes and norms, and I don't identify as feminine. I quite like being called handsome though.
Having a 'pretty' pussy implies that the person things that some pussies are less desirable though. And that's not really a very nice thing. Maybe she just didn't want to be reminded that some people get told they have ugly labia by horrible people, and that she's lucky enough to not have to deal with that. |

Is it any different to some guys being told they're handsome? Does that imply some men are less handsome and less desirable? Why should genitalia be any different than anything else - I accept that I'll never win any beauty contests and I know my place in the beauty spectrum so it's unrealistic and unreasonable to expect everything to be equally aesthetically pleasing to everybody as everything else.

The human mind is a weird and wonderful place at times. There will be people with body issues and others that will not feel comfortable with receiving compliments.
Like someone else also point out it will be linked to how it has been delivered. You should be able to gauge how someone is taking a compliment by the look their face and the more the grimace the less you should persist.
