Right - I'm a liiiitle bit tipsy and veeeery tired - so if I make a bollocks of this just be nice anyway - coz I love the forums and most forumites (yes - even you!!)
What on earth has happened to us all in the last few days? The busyness of Christmas and the huge bills we're facing in January??
The mods have had to chip in on or close so many threads lately that it's just silly!! They have cards to wrap and presents too!
What drew me to the forums in the first place was that we're usually one big, happy, dysfunctional family! Lately we're just dysfunctional!!
It's nearly Christmas! Putting aside the hard work it's supposed to be a time of peace, love, forgiveness and family!
Please, please can I have my nice little bubble back - ie my lovely, mutually supportive forum family - who disagree at times but without trying to offend?
I'm asking very very nicely - but if you carry on being meanie weenies to each other - I'm personally delivering Frosty the psycadelic fucking singing snowman to your house with Duracell batteries and removing the off switch!!
I guarantee that by new year you'll have ground your teeth so much you'll be offering gum jobs! I'm half way there already and we've only had the bastard thing a week!

This is why I don't frequent the forums like I used to. Just seems to be so much bitchiness, cliques, huge arguments over peoples bloody body sizes, judgemental and narrow minded folk....the list goes on.
I get people have opinions and preferences, but there really is no need for people to shoot others down.
Peach, you're a lovely lady and didn't deserve what you got the other day on the thread you posted. Keep on posting and enjoying your preferences x |

It's surprising that this is actually a forum for adults hey? I mean fully grown human beings!
Just let negativity wash over you, ignore it, try and be a nice person yourself and become impervious to any sniding and insults!
It a lesson I learnt some months ago on here and you know what, this site is so much more rewarding if you do that 
It's really not worth letting any anonymous cock wombles on an Internet discussion forum get you down!

Thanks Hun! They got me blubbering which was silly of me really - I'm a soft sod! Luckily I'm naturally happy and slightly barmy - so I'm fine again now!
It's sad you don't use the forums as much now - and I'd hate others to be put off using the forums too - if only those with the thickest skins remain then I have a sneaking suspicion that the 'debate' will get more and more ferocious - which is very sad as the mods will have to work longer shifts and get huuuuuuuge bags under their eyes! (We'll see people walking down the street with eye bags down to their chins and think 'yep - there goes another mod!' |

I think people need to air their opinion. Too many times threads where people can have a real debate about something and people don't take offense because the topic is deliberately controversial are not around any more ... so the bitchiness and cliqueyness has to go somewhere. I am not a newbie on the forums, but I come for some discourse and entertainment and the threads would be dull without some of the debate that exists. So maybe we need a new area for the forums, split the threads into, those wanting debate and those where everyone has to agree. My thoughts are that since the BBC, bi, squirting, married, etc threads which everyone knows are controversial have gone, the debate has to go somewhere. Just now more people are getting attacked, its hitting home. My first post ages ago was on a squirting thread and the number of nasty pms I got was astounding. The bitchiness was always there, the people who live their lives on and through the forums was always there, but the topic of the posts has changed and become much narrower ... very few debates about anything political in the traditional sense of the word now. I am left wondering why ... |
