No white Christmas? The chances of snow this year is very slim and we have seen the hottest December in 70 years.
The warm weather has brought about some bizarre sights in gardens and parks, including daffodils blooming, despite their usual season for flowering being between February and May.
Is this due to climate change or has earth entered another phase?
Here in London we have had about 13c everyday, what about where you are? Today it is 16c and very warm. I have a t-shirt on  |

The earth has survived 5 or 6 (depending on how you count) Mass Extinction Events in the last 2bn years.

Snow and ice aren't 'usual' for the planet.. We're still in an ice age. The ice caps will melt and then refreeze and then melt etc etc. They've been melting for thousands of years.. Back when there were no fossil fuels and pollution.. So it's not really people that are causing global warming.. It's just happening.

It's very hard to equate one particular piece of weather with man made climate change...
However what you can say is the long term average is not what were experiencing recently.

I bought the emergency stove and lighting just in case it was the worst snow for 70years....just can't keep up.... I'll need to but sun cream and hats next !!! |

What's happening now is weather.the wind is pulling hot air in.
humans are without doubt changing the long term global temperatures and we need to act to stop the change for our benifit
the earth will be here long after we have made uninhabitable for ourselves. |
