Could you kind people check to see if my profile is hidden?

It it is telling me that I'm hidden but today I have had a message off a guy who I've never spoken to before.

Yes, but if you post on the forums people can still message you.

Still hidden. But if you post on the forums or he has you on his hotlist (I think) he can spot you to message you.

Yes it's hidden but hidden doesn't stop people messaging you.

They just select message off the menu.

But they can't see your pics or text.
