As the average weight of a woman in the uk is 11/2 stone and we have seen women boxing at the olympics ..why dont they get tv coverage like men

It is still a new sport to the general population.

Just look at woman football, it took 10years to get tv showing an interest

This is part of the reason but mainly no promoter has seen money in it to heavily get behind someone. In MMA EliteXC & Strikeforce heavily promoted Gina Carano who was an attractive MMA fighter who also was on American Gladiators which led to them having a womens division which opened the door to Ronda Rousey and Dana White reluctantly bought the women into UFC. Essentially what I'm saying is if theres an attractive women winning a gold in 2016 I wouldnt be shocked if Eddie Hearn gives it a go

Just trying work out why the weight is relevant?

People only fight in their weight class anyway.
