I love star wars, seeing a new hope in the cinema as a boy is a memory which lingers on.
I've an issue with the title though, if episode 6 was the return of the jehdi and the jehdi are the guardians of the force (for want of a better phrase), then surely the force was awake in episode 6. |

Quarter past midnite showing, would have been the one minute past showing, but they only had shit seats left. Hopefully i can go the rest of the day, without exploding in a shower of excitement that levels maidstone and leaves kent covered in ted for the next thousand years |

Going to a private screening a friend has hired a cinema screen for his birthday. Worked out quite well with everyone chilling in they are all mad for the film so there won't be anyone messing about. It's a serious time.
Happy with that as won't have to yell at anyone to be quiet. Shame it won't be an IMAX screening though. |

"Been told it's very very good as a friend has seen it in the cinema already - he works there
Proper buzzing I want to get through the day now "
Yes, I think for once and for all, all the hype surrounding this is going to be justified.
Interestingly quoted as, "probably objectively the best Star Wars yet, and would be held up as untouchable, had it come first."
Very telling...

Not my kind of film, I never understood it. But I'm loving the hype!! Can I join in with the excitement even though I'm not a fan? Loving the lightsabers and SW themed things everywhere.

I'm not really sure what a padawan is. But thank you.

So much to talk about but can't as don't want to spoil it for people

Spoil it!! Some old witch on Facebook (I can call her that she was my friend once) decided to say one of the major parts in the film on her status but said 'i won't give any spoilers away!!' |

Not a star wars freak. I did go with my play partner she IS a star wars freak.
I enjoyed it very much in 3D.
Though i dont think the 3D added too much to the film to be honest.
She was surprised when.....
And insaid.. what you seriouslybdudnt knownthat was giing to happen come on..
I knew that was a sure fire certainty when the film was announced.
Lol
When you see it youll jnow what i mean;) |

Yeah. I don't 'do' sports, but don't feel the need to tell everyone when they're having a conversation about it! |

"Saw it last night. It was okay. Won't spoil anything but found the storyline very similar to one of the other films in the series. "
Thanks for not spoiling it, much appreciated.
Which one of the other films did you find it similar too? |

My daughter and grandson had tickets booked for months, totally caught up in all the excitement and were avoiding spoilers and media. It was to be the start of their Christmas ......some twat took it upon himself to tweet her a message with spoilers ...... she was not a happy bunny. |

The force was "awake" in Return of the Jedi, but this film is set 30 years later, so it kind of went to sleep again. |

What a wanker, I hope he told her fake spoilers to wind her up rather than real ones. |

And then there's the people who think that most people are interested in this film and that we all want to know just how interested in it they are
Btw I'm not interested in it and I'm not bothered whether or not people are interested in my opinion but the film is as boring as Forest Gump and Titanic |

Don't forget the folk that aren't interested in it but want to post in a thread they clearly aren't interested in, just to let those that are interested in it, know that they aren't interested in the subject that folk are interested in, interestingly this happens quite often with interest led threads on a subject that interests folk who have that specific interest |

Yay went earlier, glad they went back to basics and gave me 'my' Star Wars back!
Given its been open a few days now I guess it's ok to talk spoilers as all the geeks will have seen it, but I was gutted the reports that JarJar Binks didn't feature were false - bloody hell such a pivotal role too and I for one was surprised he was a Sith Master
And when the Millenium Falcon was destroyed half way through - WTF! That's iconic and could have been used as continuity in parts 8 & 9 I thought. I like JJ Abrahms work but thought he got it wrong with those two |

Guardians of the force?? They don't protect the force the force just there in all things , the awakening of the force was it being felt in Rey and her becoming more one with it , I felt the title was most fitting . |
