Men seem to recoil in absolute horror when I've told them. Never seen it. Absolutely no desire to.

Now I'm bombarded by bloody sci-Fi everywhere, waaaaaah!

Anyone else in the same boat or am I going (Han) solo? (Oh no she didn't!)

I really don't get the point of complaining about people liking a thing that you don't like.

You don't have to watch it, it's not compulsory.

Loads of people love football and I don't, I just pay it no attention during the 9 months of the year when it's on.

There was a time when the first three were on at Christmas almost every year. I have seen them. They are OK.

Never bothered with the new ones....because they came out when I was already an adult and Star Wars are kids films really, no?

It is fun getting a hardened Star Wars fan to try and explain the whole story so far from beginning to end with the films being in the wrong order. Then tell them that Darth Vader was just misunderstood.

Each to their own. The world would be a very dull place if we all liked the same things.

Personally, I love the films (not so much Jar Jar). I also loathe football, but it's useful for keeping half the population off the streets when I want to go shopping.

Something else will be along soon for you to admire while others recoil in a pool of hatred induced vomit. To quote a biologically ignorant lion, "Circle of life, innit."

Previously i had a bit of a dislike for Star wars.

The films are ik its the lack of originallity across the series that annoyed me.. i wont go unto detail

However recently a play partner dressed as Slave Leia for a sexy cosplay session.

Needless to say im an Avid fan now.

Whenever I hear people saying I hate....... I always point out imagine how much more expensive the things you like would be if everyone liked them.

We love music festivals imagine if everyone who likes football suddenly stopped and started liking festivals we'd never get tickets and it can be hard enough already

That's the same for me, regarding E.T.

Over the thirty odd years since its release, I think I've seen most of it, only never from beginning to end, in one viewing, always out of sequence and in 'bits', as you say.

And there's always people who look down their nose at some for liking something they don't get, which has been evident over the forum the past few days.

I expressed a dislike of Fifty Shades when it was almost the sole topic of conversation on here months ago, but only to point out that it wasn't a love story, it was an abusive relationship and it was dangerous to romanticise it. Other than that I said nothing further about it as I really couldn't care less. I certainly didn't feel the need to start a thread saying I hated it, but I guess I had more important things to do.
