When given a present, do you rip it open, or carefully unwrap it and save the paper?

I hate the type of wrapping paper you can't rip. Awful.

Always open with care

Save the paper for next year and never be able to find it again

South East Midlands NOT

I like to re-use the paper where possible. I received a birthday present in some lovely Cath Kidston paper this year, I re-used some of it for a present for a friend's baby.

I have a collection of bits of paper. I like to present a gift for the receiver.

Exactly. Will only find it when you don't need it.

My feeling is anyone who has the patients to slowly unwrap a present isnt excited enough to deserve to get one!

Rip it open, it is rude not to.

Although if the present is of some value and everyone is watching me I will very carefully unwrap it.

Completely untrue.

I love receiving gifts and I like to admire the wrapping. Especially if as much effort goes into wrapping as I make!
