What is the dish that you will be serving this Christmas that stands out and will make your Christmas dinner/party one to remember.

Mine is my Brussels sprouts with bacon and caramelised red onion, even non sprout eaters tuck in

Oooh! My mum's beef & Stilton that she does for tea on Christmas Eve... beef stew with lots of peppercorns, topped with thinly sliced potatoes & Stilton cheese.

That and her lemon curd tarts & mince pies which she makes from scratch, even the mince meat.

I don't really have secret weapons, I tend to do different things each year.

Last year's menu was

Duck in a port and cranberry sauce

Salmon with cream of lobster

Carrots with cumin and fennel

Honey glazed roasted parsnips

Red cabbage with balsamic glaze

Minted peas

Pan fried green beans with roasted almonds

Porcini mushroom stuffing

Garlic and caramelized onion mash

Roast potatoes.

For dessert I made a ginger trifle.

Haven't decided what I'm doing this year.

Well it's my turn to host my parents this year so it'll be a yummy ready meal..from scratch I must add!

Jokes, I have a turkey the size of a dinosaur, a nice gammon joint, I worked in catering for a while so I'll make it snazzy and stuff without busting my metaphorical balls x
