About time too!
The govt have announced the scrapping of the Default Retirement Age (DRA) and I think it should have been done decades ago, or better still, never introduced at all.
People should have the freedom to continue to work for as long as they feel fit and able to, or want to. I see no reason to force someone into a lifestyle they don't want and it's undemocratic to do so.

"Well i thinks it should be lowered ta 45 personally xx "
Hey, I'm 45, bugger off!
Siren would have me doing squillions of stuff round the house!!
Plus, it would be totally wrong for a 21 month old boy to have a father woh is retired. That's just not right lol |

It suits me now...sadly.
If I'd still been married I wouldn't have a mortgage, I'd be working part time only to see my youngest through uni, and I would have retired fully at 53 in a couple of years time and be a lady of leisure.
With a mortgage to keep lesser mortals awake at night and rake thin through shear worry I have to work til I'm at least 67...unless I win the lottery or find a rich man to marry, look after me while Ihave his babies...oooh, did that, chucked him...oh well, plan B...work til I drop! |
