My family always went to midnight mass while my father and I polished off the desserts on Christmas Eve. There will always be a special place in my heart for the event that pulled everyone else away from the dessert table
But no, I don't go. I'll stay and guard the cake.

"Not midnight, but Christmas Eve mass " Ruby...Very few Churches do Midnight Mass now and like you say the do Christmas Eve or Vigil Mass...I believe one of reasons for having the mass earlier was because people were arriving in d*unk....I prefer to go on Christmas Day... |

Yep, our midnight mass isn't at midnight. Aim is to finish before the pubs kick out. |
