I tend to buy sweets for people, then unwrap them and eat them myself when I have nothing sweet in the house

Nope. We don't buy candy at Christmas. I save all the calories for stuffing.

We don't buy anything in at Christmas other than our normal shop as there's just the two of us and the animals - we do go to each of our parents houses and raid their cupboards for goodies though which is nice...and cheap.
