Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail as he waits to be sentenced for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

He claims he never shot her, but why did he have a gun ready, whats your view on his case?

Brighton - even Hove!

I think he meant to murder her. He knew she was in there and shot through the door 4 times.

He has been realised on bail pending a sentencing hearing and further appeal against the new conviction. He will be under house arrest but can go out for a couple of hours a day as I understand it.

Right or wrong I don't know but it is the way the SA justice system is working. The conditions are the same as his parole conditions following his manslaughter conviction.

Being half South African myself I have to repect the judiciary on their decision but also think that when the appeals process is complete, whatever the outcome, there should be a review into how the case has been handled and if any changes to the justice system there needs to be implemented.

"he knew he could kill whoever was in the cubicle should be more about why an unstable person like him could own a gun "

Because he had no criminal convictions, no reason not to allow him to have one and many South Africans own them.

They'll just put him under house arrest in a place with a cattle grid around it.

I feel so sorry for him. It must have been hard enough for a disabled guy to get a break, then to have such a broken nation unite behind him and then the worlds heart go out to him during the Olympics, competing against able bodied athletes on level terms. An inspiration to all disabled people globally. Then his world tumbles down around him after he mistaking kills the woman he loved. Instantly becoming the new OJ Simpson. Do you think he'll ever have a peaceful nights sleep again? Do you think he'll ever forgive himself?
