Body imperfections..
I mean particularly where in my case breast cancer just a small scar and a dent really could be worse.
Had been talking to someone and when I mentioned that they stopped responding.
I was just curious if people really are bothered by scars or even loss of limb or any other problem you may have.
I have a lovely photo on my facebook of 8 brave ladies that have had various breast ops.
They still look wonderful to me, pretty, brave and alive.
Is it more difficult to play when you are perceived to be imperfect ?

Perceived lack of confidence seems to be a bigger turn off, like if they'll refuse to remove clothes or something.
I'm very aware of my op scars, but can't change them so I'm not particularly bothered by them. I warn people as I know some may find them aesthetically displeasing (just like tattoos). |

Wouldn't bother us at all, nobody is perfect. I scar very easily and have lots of, mostly small, scars.
In your case it's a sign of what you have survived and if anyone is put off by it they were not Worthy of you.

Naw, doesn't bother me. I like when people have their own imperfections.
However, I wouldn't like it if it really affected someone's confidence to the point that they felt uncomfortable around me naked. Own your body. Its yours and its great.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Some people find imperfections in all sorts of ways. My father can't bear to look at me if I have a spot on my face.
I saw this yesterday:
Beautiful faces are everywhere but beautiful minds are hard to find.
I think the beautiful minds can see that "imperfections" are just differences and a sign of life lived. |

Be proud of your battle scar xx"
Exactly this, its a scar from the battle you fought to save your life. Be proud of it, wear it as a badge of honour |

I was back at Kestrels 3 days after my op people there were fine "
I met you not long after your op. I didn't notice until you told me. |

I've got two broken collar bones that are still in the process of healing. One looks like a dog leg and the other is all lumpy due to multiple fractures. So I'm not as broad shouldered as I used to be and I'm probably not very good at naked Twister. |

Show us someone who is perfect on here and if I owned a hat I would eat it. Scars are no big deal we all have them. If it puts someone off meeting you then it's them that has the issues, dodged bullet in my opinion. |

To me scars just mean you have lived your life. If a scar bothers them that much, they are not worth meeting you. |

No. I have a scar on my face from having skin cancer. It took me a while to get used to it. I was very aware of it for a long time afterwards. I had a 10p size hole cut out at the side of my nose so I've effectively had half a face lift. The surgeon made a fabulous job and it's probably not that noticeable now.
We are who we are and I don't have any issues with other people's body imperfections. My mind is my biggest sexual organ, if you switch that on, it doesn't really make any odds whether you have a hump. |

Yes some people will be put off by scars etc. Just as some are put off by beards, short people, gingers, fat people, etc.
You shouldn't assume that you were turned down just because of your scar. Perhaps they didn't like your eye colour, something you said, maybe their cat died, maybe they have a scar themselves and you mentioning yours made them feel self conscious.
Anything can put other people off meeting us. Don't worry about it, it's not really personal. They don't know you and you don't know them. You just aren't compatible. |

The body is just an envelope for the personality. Just as envelopes in the post are rarely pristine, neither are bodies. It is what is inside that matters. The person's confidence and inner sexiness is what matters most. And you have that is spades!

Scars are just another part of who we are. I have an obvious keyhole surgery scar and some pretty visible stretch marks. I don't mention them to a prospective meet and no one has pointed them out. Confidence in what you have is beautiful and sexier than you think.

Having read all the replies and comments so far it looks like the general consensus is: ITS NOTHING, WONT EVEN NOTICE.
Now let's come down to earth: a belly, skin colour, hair colour, place of birth, height etc are very concrete criteria used by people in life; more so even on here where it is pure NSA.
I'd say hypocrisy is at play or the discriminators( real word?) did not see the post.
Food for thought. |

Not an issue for me. Sick of media trying to define perfect. There is no such thing as perfect, we're all different.
I am far from perfect, but I am what I am. Think everyone has some degree of body consciousness |

Interesting topic.... not every imperfection is a scar, I have some imperfections that sometimes stop me from getting my clothes off, been trying to sort the problem out but seems nothing is helping at the moment.
Doesn't stop me having fun in other ways though, we dont have to take our clothes off to have a good time..... but it helps! |

Oh yes I agree, I'm sure there are many things even skin conditions which can appear to be off putting tho as you say you can keep your clothes on hope you sort out your problem soon. |

Nobody is perfect. Personally it's the mind for me. I can tell straight away if we are going to click or not.
Scars, imperfections etc are irrelevant. Merely badges of honour. |

Wouldn't put me off in the slightest.
I once played with a lovely lady who'd had a mastectomy and although it was a shock, I didn't let it stop us.
I didn't let her off lightly, put it that way |

My scars are quite noticeable and I don't have an issue with them and aside from the odd idiot who can't help but speak before they think I dont have anyone offended by them...people are more likely to ask about them because they are unusual than comment In a bad way...they help to build you as a person and I'm proud of who I am and how I got to this point in my life... |

As the chap a few posts up says, what difference is there between someone exercising their "preferences" and not seeing people above/below a certain height? Not seeing people due to their skin pigmentation? Not seeing someone because they are not "a professional?
Why should someone with a disability or scarring be perceived as different and not subject to the usually replies? E.g. "People are entitled to fuck whomever they please and if you don't fit their criteria move on and find someone whose specification you do match." |

I wonder why you would even mention it if I'm honest.
I have scarring from my sterilisation operation (about an inch on my stomach). I've never mentioned it. I've never had anyone mention it. If it's not a HUGE noticeable thing, then just don't mention it to people. |
