Good evening Fabbers,Friends and fellow Forumites .

I trust you have all had a splendid day. Crumbs the year is fast approaching its end .

What a jolly brilliant year it has been too.

Pooch and I were discussing our highlights earlier.

Its been a spiffing year for music too.

Pooch is down stairs solving a jolly tricky Sudoku, so I have take the opportunity to have a soak in the tub.

I have the latest edition of Q music magazine, they are reviewing the best albums of the year. A few contentious choices , but that's Q for you.

So chums tonight's quest is this.

What has been your album of the year?

Back to splish splashing in the bath with my boats and rubber ducks .

Have fun chums

Taff

I find the entire point of debating which song/musician/band/album to be utterly pointless, especially as I personally find some of the most lauded among these to be utter shit.

No need to be rude.

Apologies Nell, I should have been more specific, I meant as in many of the supposedly greatest bands/musicians of all time (not those specifically mentioned on this thread) I don't like in the slightest, this rendering any sort of 'top/greatest/best' polls totally pointless to me x

Fair do's. But I enjoy talking about music, especially when I come across others who have similar tastes. People can bond over shared interests and it's thoroughly enjoyable to many.

Then maybe avoid the thread and let the people who do enjoy it discuss instead

New album - Killer Instinct by Black Star Riders.

Reissue - The Ties That Bind box set by Bruce Springsteen. For a start there's the River, which is his best album anyway. Add another 25-odd songs, some of which are easily good enough to have been on the original album. It's just brilliant.
