Upon moving into a new house what is the most disgusting thing you have found?
I was just cleaning out a cupboard and found a packet of chocolate biscuits that have been out of date for 11 years, and loads of human hair under and down the back of the skirting boards in the lounge |

When I moved into my previous house my ex wife found a box of dirty poloroids in the built in wardrobe in the master bedroom
The pics were not very appealing and even less were the subjects |

"My neighbour found human remains in his garden
I'd move "
It was while he was having his house built. They think it was a couple of still births or very early deaths from the previous land owner. |

"A dead ferret in a ferret cage.
what other cage would he be in? "
We found the cage whilst chucking out stuff from a previous tenant, was on a farm, and had an argument about what the cage was.
Mrs T had it as a rabbit cage, I said it was a ferret cage and won when the dead ferret was found lurking within. |

Just had the quarry tiles replaced in the hall, they had been laid directly on the soil about 200 years ago when the house was extended, ...found a dog skeleton wrapped in a shroud underneath them...spooky or what? |

My last house I found used pregnancy tests.
This house was just disgusting all over. Eldest wasn't allowed in for 2 days until it had been deep cleaned. There was a dead frog behind the minging cooker (paid someone to clean that!!) & animal droppings behind the radiators in dining room. The thick ring of grime in the bath was delughtful. Carpets stank of cat wee. It was a look at ceiling house |

I helped a mate move back into his house after he kicked out a tenant. The guy had issues as there were shitty pants just thrown into the corner of the room and left (they had been there some time). And we had to replace the toilet as it would not clean..
Just the thought of it has me retching |

Old witchcraft thing its meant to protect the house from evil, more common to be a cat though. |

Didn't you notice the grime when looking around?
Whilst house hunting I didn't even bother going upstairs, the downstairs was off putting enough. ..didn't want to lose the content of my stomach viewing the bathroom! |

We did - as I said it was a look at the ceiling house - saw the floor space & potential. Just took a lot of elbow grease. It's a biggish house in a great location with really good schools so was worth it. And now it's all mine (albeit with a substantial mortgage!!!) |

Was once moved into a council house in a 'dodgy' area! The toilet was black - literally! There was a hole in the landing cupboard which had been stuffed with spliff ends. The kitchen cupboards were thick with grease and grime and the carpets stank so much of urine and faeces that we had to take them up with those little breathing masks on! I had an 18 month old daughter at the time and I was expected to move in within 24 hrs! Not fun!! |
