Will wait for the full facts. But generally the police do not make announcements that they are treating incidents as terrorist attacks without good reason. Because doing so raises racial tensions and leads to revenge attacks that lead to the police having to deal with even more incidents...

Sure. I've seen countless videos of unsuccessful taser attempts of our police force across television and the internet, over the years. They're indecisive and hesitant, every time. Including this latest tube incident.

Police are trained NOT to deploy their tasers unless absolutely necessary. A good officer will talk the situation down.

Tasing can kill, and although some people might not see that as a bad thing, it doesn't allow for justice to be served if a perp dies.

I might, yes.

But, in light of current events and the level of threat we're facing from terrorism at the moment, it doesn't instill me with much confidence in our police force, when you see them confronted with a situation like we've just seen at the tube station, and they display quite so much indecisiveness and incompetence.

Also, pretty astonished they just went in and cuffed him like they did. He could easily have been wearing a suicide vest.

I'm kind of ok with the fact we have police who don't have to use taser in their day to day work so when they do it's not normal practice for them and maybe it doesn't go completely right. Easy to sit and slag people off from the sidelines, harder to be the person actually doing it. Unless of course you're a policeman?

Not sure where you get the 99% figure from as, i know from experience when i was at college, a lot of students work in retail in evenings/weekends/christmas and none of them were on benefits.

There's something to be considered about the fact that some ill informed and pretty racist _iews do seem to be becoming more widely expressed. Perhaps to do with the fact that ANY discussion of people's fears is currently shot down as wrong, racist, ignorant, stupid etc. so they grow and build and come out in this form. People have some very real fears about the impact of immigration on where they live. I think their fears are incorrect, but I don't think they should just be dismissed with a smug and superior flick of the hand either. If people feel talked down to and frustrated then they probably will turn to the Britain First and EDL type stuff because it's the only avenue that appears to be listening to them or taking them seriously.

Ok so what 10 million people have to go? I am assuming you mean the immigrants who are the very same people who have saved our NHS from collapse despite the best intentions of 'our' politicians.

Not to mention all the other vital jobs that need to be taken care of in a country with an ageing population that may not be able to provide itself to with enough people to look after its elderly and continue working in all the other jobs that need to be done (from dustbin men to doctors to shop workers and delivery drivers).

First of all, countries need a certain amount of unemployment so companies have room to hire more people and expand and develop etc

Secondly, you seem to have completely missed my point about us having an ageing population. We have the lowest proportion of people of working age that we have ever had and its only going to get worse. Yes people are working for longer now but at the same time we will reach the point in the future where those people are no longer able to work and there is less and less people being born to take up the slack...

There is many reasons why there are areas that are less developed and falling apart but I will bet you that the main reason has nothing to do with immigrants and refugees and alot more to do with general inequality of wealth and investment...
