Dealing with people who can't accept a rejection

Seems more and more particularly single guys are getting quite nasty when rejected. This rejection may be either not able to reply to a message, saying no once see a pic or chatted abit, or even if get to the stage of swapping numbers for more chat and then discover there isn't enough of an attraction there. Once the no is given this should be accepted out of respect for that decision to not want to meet you not loads of abuse hurled back.
Just seems recently when I've said no thanks or not replied I'm getting some unnecessary vile nasty messages which spoils the general atmosphere of here which is meant to be fun! Anyone else getting this abuse?, I just think people should be allowed to decide freely after however long of talking if they then don't want to take it any further without fear of the other person spouting all sorts of horribleness. I'm not over sensitive just seems an awful lot of this going on recently....unless I'm just having a run of it!
