OP, having just looked at the other thread it seems more likely that it just brought out seething resentments between certain individuals, rather than truly having anything to do with your original post.
There are obvious power struggles amongst some of the more regular posters in any online forum. It's a human condition thing.
I doubt there's many truly bad people on here but in any case, you don't come across as one of them.
