Looks like after a few games under his belt that the hype was true. So Liverpool fans, are you happy? And Arsenal fans, do you wish you had made a move for him? |

Brendan Rogers would have won the league if it wasn't for a couple of fuck ups. Where is he now?
I'm no fan of Liverpool. Klopp could flop in the coming months. |

I guess the same could be said of all coaches, they are all only interested few bad results away from the chop. But double the amount of goals and points in the same number of games as Rodgers suggests he is doing something right. I thought Rodgers might have turned it around given time, and where is he now? Rumoured to be going to Qatar for £3m a year tax free so life isn't too bad!! |

I wanted Klopp back when we ended up getting Rodgers.
I remember seeing a sky programme at the time about the Dortmund youth academy and how Klopp is prepared to push youth thru and really develop the youngsters when maybe other managers would just prefer to buy instant first teamers.
Obviously you need an understanding board willing to give you time and space to achieve results as the youngsters brd in but that is his basic mindset.
Dortmund have the best academy set up in Germany and a very high percentage of their players during his tenure were not just German but also from the Dortmund area and I'm not sure how many of the German world cup winners came from Dortmund but I know gotze and reus did.
I hope good times are ahead and if anyone is going encourage the next Gerrard's and carraghers its most likely gonna be him.

To be fair to Rodgers there is some real talent coming through which is down to him, he gave the likes of Flanagan, Sterling and Ibe their opportunities, I think he left a very solid foundation on which Klopp can build. |

Klopp is what Rodgers couldn't be - authentic. Clearly a talented a coach, that engages the people around him and endears himself to them. 'Not perfect' is the new 'outstanding'. As an LFC fan, I'm feeling a lot happier about my team than I have for a long time. Although 2013/14 was a very good season and we went the closest we've been to winning a title, it was a false dawn. A season built on the extraordinary talent and work ethic of Luis Suarez, a fit Sturridge and emerging young talent of Sterling. But the defensive frailties and Rodgers' 'sound bite' rhetoric and dodgy psychological approaches made me feel very uneasy. He feel lucky last season with a system change but the writing was on the wall once the form dipped and the system was sussed. Klopp certainly seems to have substance and an infectious enthusiasm and belly laugh that draws people in, rather than the flimsy veneer of Rodgers' cliché ridden delivery and his impossibly white teeth and cheesy fake smile |

As an Arsenal fan, I'm quite envious. I'm neutral when it comes to Wenger. He's still a major player but a new generation of managers have shown that he's struggling to keep up. |

Their high pressing counter attacking style under Klopp, suits away from home, but, at Anfield they still struggle when a team sits deep and sets up to defend, with the onus on Liverpool to take the game to them, and break them down - hence the loss to Palace immediately after the away win at Man City. |

He's got the confidence up and letting the players play without fear.
He's slowly building up the confidence with the fans.
Sturridge is the key....he's the difference between us winning 1-0 and winning 4-0 as he puts most of his chances away whilst Beneteke needs probably 3 chances.
The future looks good. |

he is the one who i said newcastle and sunderland should have thrown the kitchen sink at last summer and tried to get.....
and actually they were too late because i have been saying that gary neville would be the next best choice for newcastle.... the place needs a clearout from top to bottom
as an arsenal fan.... a bit of me thinks he would have been the perfect fit here..but after 20 years wenger has earned the right for him to say when he is ready to go.....
2 years from now... let him serve his english apprenticeship at liverpool.... wenger can move upstairs, and klopp can come and manage a real club....
they can sell out that winaldum chappie to us next summer..... |

6 times in a row, blows that every dog has its day thing out of the water lol, in all honesty though, I think both north east teams wont be far from the bottom again this season, although big sam has give us a bit of hope, hes got them playing for the shirt. |

by any reckoning there are several other teams above Arsenal and still below Liverpool 'big club' wise..
beginning to sound like the geordies in the 'we are a big club' and if we say it often enough we will believe it..
history says otherwise..

I never quite get all the "big club" comparisons. Most of the Premier League clubs are big. |

its a strange formula, can be many things to some people..
own the ground and no debt with empty trophy cupboard = 'big'..
only been 'successful' since billionaire owner showed up = 'big'
billionaire owner showed up and wants to make money which upsets core fans..
etc etc |

Liverpool are the masters of giving teams the chance to resurrect themselves after a poor run of form
At least Klopp told it as it was, rather than saying he was pleased with the team's character. The Toon deserved to win |

Klopp certainly has charisma and is proven in a very tough league. He has already transformed the team and let's not forget, some key players are still out. A very different management style indeed to what we are used too in British football but if anyone can make a big impact it will be him. The Premiership is a better place with him whether you follow Liverpool or not. It's still early days yet. It will take a season or two to see the real impact, not just a handful of games. |

Ain't that the truth!
it's not just here either, - there's so much money being made by the so called 'big clubs' from shirts & merchandise sales in the far east, yet they buy shirts as a fashion sstatement rather than as a 'fan', so no one wants to be seen as a loser.
Over the last 12 or so years I've been to the far east several times & I didn't need to know who were the successful teams, all I had to do was look at the attire;
Early naughties - Real Madrid shirts were prevalent followed by Liverpool & man u shirts, then Liverpool shirts became popular (CL win) but they disappeared shortly after, replaced by Chelsea, then Barcelona became prevalent with more & more Chelsea, then man city shirts started showing up etc etc etc.........
These people are so fickle, - they are NOT fans!! |

I think our beloved football clubs would be in serious financial trouble if they only considered people who go to the match, local or not, as true supporters and were only interested in them. |

This..
Some don't seem to understand that people do move away from the city they were born and raised in and still support their home team.
Used to take our lad to watch the local team where we lived as lower league football needs the support.
Maybe when people move they should have to ditch their home team and support wherever they go to? |

Who's he managing?Oldham Badley mate keeps picking a keeper who can't catch taking off his best goal scorer and we are awfull to watch no wins at home since he took charge in the league watch the football league show tonight for the keepers latest howler embarrsing "
Live with a guy from Oldham and he despairs (has done for a good year or so with how that club's been run recently).
As for Klopp, if he can't get it right at Liverpool then I just don't know where else we go. I'd just give him 10 years tbh, let him sort the way we recruit players out and if that means he has to bring in his people, so be it. Whoever signed off on the Benteke deal needs sectioning. |

Might be the same bloke who sanctioned the Andy Carrol deal.....lets face it Liverpool throw hundreds of millions at it and are still way short |

True. Benteke just strikes me as a guy who can only play one way. But yet we still signed him knowing that there's a chance we'd be sacking the manager (so no time to implement a new style) and then went and spent £25m on Firmino who (along with Coutinho and Lallana) don't play to his strengths. Oh and we let our only senior (I say senior, I mean he's 22) winger go out on loan. So we spend £35m on a striker who thrives on crosses, and make it so that we have no wingers to cross a ball.
Winds me up thinking about it! |

"I can't stand LFC, but I think you have hired a top class manager who will bring success Looking a bit of a cunt at the minute though..lol but not as much as Mc Claren
Klopp is a proven top class manger,at the minute he's not pulling up any tree but he will need at least two transfer windows to bring his own players in but it might be hard to attract the players he wants if Liverpool don't make the champions league,so dispite this being only his first season it's very important he makes the top four if he wants major success in the next 3 or 4 years,Champions league.....they are one of the only sides Newcastle took apart this season ,Liverpool will finish 9th"
As it stands they are five points off 4th place and they are capable of putting a decent run together, they don't look like they'll make it but it's still far to write them off because there is 18 games to be played, |

Benteke looked like he couldn't trap a bag of sand today, absolutely awful.. On other occasions though he's capable of being outstanding, £32m was a cracking deal for Villa Klopp, regardless of whether he bought the players has to take responsibility for the way they set up today; Benteke was starved of service, lack of width and pointless possession with little end product. West Ham's best results this season have come when teams have come on to them allowing space for the counter attack, Billic set WHU up to play counter attack and Klopp played into it. James Collins was superb today and Andy Carrol played like he had an eye on the euros, keep playing like that and he's in with a chance of making the squad. Best player on the field though was Dimitri Payet, I'd be amazed if he's still a hammer next season. |

Would love to hear his thoughts on the squad he has inherited. Will be interesting to see if they spend in the transfer window. How a side that can dismantle City, Chelsea and Southampton with apparent ease can be so inconsistent suggests there is a lot of work to do. Can't see them making the top 4 a present, let alone challenge for the league. I suspect Klopp has a big challenge on his hands, we will find out over the next 18 months how good he is. |

It will be the leghnth of time some of these average at best players recently signed up for will dig there heels in and stay around for.....Liverpool will now struggle to shift them

"Looks like after a few games under his belt that the hype was true. So Liverpool fans, are you happy? And Arsenal fans, do you wish you had made a move for him?"
With the benefit of hindsight and west ham having been the latest team to whoop liverpool would you like to revise your optimism. As you can see we are all above you. |

Yep! Still a bit early to judge though, next season will be a measure of his abilities. |

bet you would want to swap places though..
said above it will take about 18 months to evaluate him as a manager, still standing by that..
wonder how many more Ashley will have chopped by then.. |

they won yes and said they deserved it but 'taken apart' isn't borne out by the stats for the game.. |

LFC since a kid...
Surrey born and bred
Travel to anfield regularly to watch the redmen..
Klopp fits well.. give him a few transfer markets to strengthen the squad
He can attract bigger players than Southamptons finest..
Looks like the current squad can't handle his methods hamstrings popping all over the place
Brendons most sackable offence was definitely loosing suarez
Forever Red
