In all seriousness I would have thought that would have limited it, too vague. Something like North West or South East (or wherever you are) might be sufficiently wide but still regional specific so local contacts are more clear...

People can find you, from their searches - but clear information on a profile is needed imo. Op your location is a bit vague, so users in the forums wouldn't easily see if you're convenient.

Some users don't want really local contacts meeting them, so it can work in your favor.

It partly depends on what distance you'll travel?

If there's no one matched, visit clubs or arrange meets for other areas.

Users can't be made from nothing nor coerced to change their preferences. Using fab is a good supplement to the rest of a varied swinging life. Get to clubs and meet couples and all types of singles, if your swinging circle is limited to non-existent.
