Ok, so if you was asked to be an advert for something how would you go about it.

Would you glam it right up and make it look at its best or would you show it how it is in ordinary day to day life.

Which would you rather see,

Do you mean....the Tall layered burger in the picture on the wall or the squished lopsided mess they give you in the wrapper????

I would rather see the truth but if I was trying to sell something I'd glam it up to the max.

I can see what you're doing! Obviously the 'perfect' version is always used in advertising. But remember, false advertising gets pulled up by the ASA!

Which is why there are no pictures on here of me with my hair up, hanging out the washing in jeans

Interesting and enticing and attention-grabbing advert to pique my interest. Then information available should I want to know more.

Truth, warts & all

Im a 'you get what you see' chick.

I'm also an adult, I can handle the truth, I don't tolerate deception well

No it isn't the ASA only responds to outright lies, the trick of advertising is to bend the truth to breaking point then either throw in a "probably" or some small print to get past the ASA, mascara adverts are great, look at the small print and it tells you outright that images are enhanced in post production... so the product does NOT do what the pictures tell you, voted best product? by who, when against what competition? it's all bullshit.

So I would glam it to the max, and practice small print to say "not really, but look at the pretty pictures"

There's a difference between displaying something in a positive light, which is good, and blatant false advertising, which is bad. I'd rather meet someone who looked like they have tried to present themselves in a good light (rather than warts and all).

Well I always have to take about 20 pics before there's one I'm even remotely happy with. So if the ones I have on my profile are the best ones I can muster, imagine how horrendous the others must be!

I'd like to add a small print that I don't in fact have sugar coated lips at all time. Just in case anyone is disappointed when they meet me

I don't know if its a correct comparison pictures of yourself where your just trying to attract someone.

If I was buying something I wanted to use I would want to see how it functioned on day to day usuage and not how it was sitting in its pretty box on show.

Interesting also that only a couple of people mentioned reading reviews.

I can see why I'm not in advertising
