Up North :-)

Can you sit around your home in silence? Or do you need or want some noise in the background whether it be the TV on or some music playing?

Silence - I love it. 4 kids with their tvs/music/ games/ crying and a husband addicted to crap background tv and I love it when I can have no noise whatsoever around

Its weird when you haven't had any! I had an hour of total silence today and it felt really funny

I'm quite happy to have no music or telly on and sit in silence...especially when I have my nose in a book. xxx

Just as a point of interest did anyone see that recent fly on a wall, bout a small group of people who were allowed to stay in a working monastery. They took the vow of silence ...I didn`t see it but heard it produced some startling effects on the participants.....

Think I`d like a small stay on retreat somewhere .....sounds bliss!!!

I can have either silence, music or TV in the background.

What I can't stand is people talking/having a discussion etc. on radio!

If I'm home alone, I often just have silence...especially if I'm reading.

If I've got company - I particularly like the soundof heavy breathing

I used to always have the telly on in the backround when I was on here but since my telly died and my pc monitor is now both hooked up to the pc and V+ box so can only have one or the other, I find that I do not miss it that much.
