What do women watch?

Jump to: Newest in thread

Redditch

On another thread, I made a comment about being a single male meant that I didn't have to watch soaps, celebrity, jungle, strictly etc.

I was rebuked for this by a lady who doesn't watch these either but felt I was saying that women did.

As these shows are the main topic of conversation between the women at work, I'd like to enquire what the woman of fab watch?

Virtually nothing as tv watching doesn't really interest me but if I put it on I'll just head over to Dave for entertainment.

World's weirdest events is a current fave. About unusual events, weather and plants etc.

Also like those big construction programs where they figure out how to build a massive bridge or demolition of a skyscraper.

I admit I have a weakness for property development programs which I guess are reality but they give me ideas for my house.

I liked top gear even if jeremy was a bit of a *bleep*.

Guilty pleasures are; haven, & watchdog

I can't stand soaps or strictly and Co my idea of hell.

At home we don't watch television. At my eldest daughter's I watch the walking dead, dance mums and whatever cartoons my grandchildren have on. Left to my own devices I would watch the occasional film and wildlife/natural world documentary. That's if I bother to put the television on.

I do watch some of that stuff. With my husband, who watches more than me. Not that that proves or disproves anything. It's definitely not the main topic of conversation between women at work though...

I enjoy the odd crime drama like csi, criminal minds etc. Moto gp, bsb, F1 or something on Dave. None of the celeb stuff or soaps etc.

Sad when I think apart from watching films this is about all I do watch on TV.

I don't have access to any TV channels by choice but I do have a TV. I watch DVDs and am currently making my way through my Martin Scorsese catalogue.

I read and listen to music mostly.

I don't miss TV. This jungle thing that's on now sounds incredibly strange.

Its usually Netflix for me, i don't have a consistent enough evening to say I'll watch anything on tv.

I don't watch any of the stuff in the OP. I personally like to watch the news, documentaries on Netflix, and comedies. I do have a soft spot for First Dates, though. To be honest, I mostly watch American news from msnbc

To be fair, though, my mother ONLY watches the stuff in your OP. It used to piss my father off, who wanted to watch the news 24/7.

Only watch films that can be found with the keywords

Depraved

Massive cocks

Bisexual

Cum slut

Everything else on telly seems a little boring by comparison

I don't do soaps or reality TV.

I'm actually so far behind I haven't even finished the west wing Game of thrones is the only series I actively keep up with I think. The kids love wildest weather and documentaries, so I catch bits of those when they download them in the lounge

Loved top gear. Got all the specials on my laptop, (bought dvds but gifted them as I don't keep dvds anymore)

I'm clearly weird or too intellectual as I like social history programmes like Peston Goes Shopping. It's a history of how shopping habits have changed in the UK over the last 60 years.

Wake up! It's not that boring

Oh, that had me gasping in awe. I love flying but don't get to do it and that bit where they had to stop just before take off had my heart racing.

I hardly watch any tv at all now I'm on my own. Ex and I used to binge watch box sets like Battlestar Galactica or Hannibal, and now he's gone I really struggle to get into anything. I've started to try and watch Jessica Jones recently, and a few months ago it was Outlander.

My comfort programme for when I'm feeling really rubbish is Time Team, or a comedy like the Green Wing or the Boosh.

Up until recently I never watched tv, only box sets and DVDs. I watch a bit of to now with my boyfriend, things like Big Bang Theory.

Reading that back it sounds really self-pitying! I really like my own space.

I don't watch any soaps or strictly!

My viewing is usually dictated from my family so my son likes I'm a celebrity and X factor

If I'm on my own I watch Netflix, master chef, British menu

With Paul I watch first dates and goggle box

None of my friends watch soaps and it's certainly not our topic of conversation. Maybe it was 10-15yrs ago with my mums generation

Not judging, nobody has to justify their taste in television, it's purely for curiosity.

It would be boring if we were all the same.

South East Midlands NOT

The only soap I watch is eastenders and I consider it a guilty pleasure. Otherwise I struggle to fit much tv in. I've been watching Cuffs and London Spy on iplayer.
