Is this a record?.
That's all I was on hold for to get through to the doctors and first thing Monday morning. Unheard of.
Last week when I was phoning plusnet it was 50+ minutes each time.
In this day and age what's the longest you've stayed on hold or told your queuing time will be? |

"urgh plusnet, they're a bloody nightmare to get through to. i usually direct chat them instead" I actually find them better than orange or whatever they are called now.
I genuinely nearly had a breakdown trying to get through to them that's why I left |

I phone places as little as possible and do everything online instead. Can't remember the last time I was on hold for something except at work (and I don't quite care as much then, because it's not my free time they're wasting). |

When I was calling the DSS a couple of yrs ago in a phone box, I listened to muzak for nigh on 45 mins before the line went dead. Tried again and only had to wait another 30 mins before I got to speak to someone |

Thats amazing for the doctors, minimum is usually 20mins then disconnected!
At the weekend O2 was about 30 mins plus the online chat help line , which didn't help hence the call... |

"It is round here for phoning the Dr. on a Monday morning.
But saying that, I once got through 1st time..... I was branded the local witch and shunned by the whole town because of this " that made me laugh. Usually I walk up but couldn't be bothered to go up find the time of my appointment then go back again |

I know, I was so pleased when my doctors surgery introduced an online booking system |

I refuse to go and ask for an appointment because the bloody receptionist always asks what you want to see the Dr. for.... while there is a queue of people standing behind me.

" I've got it all down to a fine art. My mum was head receptionist until she retired and I know most of them, plus I fall into the *special notes* catogary |

worst ever is tax credits or child benefit.. What is worse is that they can often put you on hold for upwards of 40mins only then to say sorry all our advisors are busy, please try again later and then hangs up.
Oh EE mobile can be bad too... Was on hold for 50 mins for the technical line to close and they just cut me off. |

Can usually get through to the docs pretty quickly, but then the soonest appointment is always at the very least a week away.
HMRC are the worst. Usually queue for 30-40 minutes at a time before either they answer or the system hangs up and tells you to try again later! |
