Nobody. I leave them to it, find them interesting to watch when they actually do something.
One time they were plotting something sneaky and they made me laugh. ![](/icons/s/surprised.gif) |

We all do it. However we often leave them to just get on with it. My son is most likely to want to catch them and put them outside. If I find them within easy reach I'll just put them outside, but on the whole we're arachnophiliacs rather than arachnophobics ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

"I leave them. They catch and eat flies so my enemy's enemy is my friend.
There are no flies in my house this time of year "
There always seems to be one tiny fruit fly in my room each night. I catch it and squish it in the process, but another fucker turns up the next night! A haunting perhaps... |

Me. But some of the big woody buggers with muscles and and an evil look in their eye make me a little squeamish too.
I can't kill them either so just catch them then bung 'em out of the window. I'm sure they just turn around and head right back inside again |

Me, as my two little ones are scared of them. When ex was still here it was still me as he's terrified of them too.
The cat will occasionally torment one if it's big enough to hold her interest. |

My daughter. I'm not bothered by spiders, happily pop a glass over them, paper underneath, and relocated them to the garden. My little girl tho loves spiders, just picks them up, and takes them up to the shed so they don't get cold... ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"I don't like spiders,So they just rule my house and do whatever they please . If they want to sleep in my bed I will have the couch "
There was a HUGE one in my bed once. I didn't realise until I slipped my legs in and accidentally smeared it over the mattress. I wasn't happy ![](/icons/s/confused.gif) |

I'm the one that gets called into action if a spider is close. A trusty glass and coaster are my weapons. In truth though I'd rather just leave them and let them get on with it. God forbid the dogs get it first. They like to play with their food.
Daddy long legs - different story. Fluttery evil swines. |

I have a phobia with spiders and i Can't stand them.
The only downside of living alone is having to deal with these 8 legged miniature monsters .
I have a extra large glass that I constantly keep in the living room. If there are no bigger than a 50 pence piece (That's my limit), il cup them and place them outside but a good few door steps away from my house.
Anything bigger and I can't go near them let alone handle them.
These unfortunately ger the spray treatment. I constantly keep a can of cockroach killer in both bedrooms and the living room.
Once sprayed, it may take me upto about 3 weeks to pluck the courage and get rid of the remains. Even when dead they scare the shit out of me.
People laugh but a phobia is a phobia. Heart rate goes up, body breaks into a sweat and you go into a panic. One spider fucks up your entire evening. You can't settle after that and on edge all night. It's like you feel trapped and uncomfortable in your own home.
No laughing matter ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

I'll come and get rid of them for you Peter. I don't have a problem with spiders. I remember once when my girls were younger one of them had a spider in her room at bedtime so asked me to get rid of it. I told her no you know how to get rid of them hoping it would help her to get brave and do it herself. 15 mins later they were both still up so went upstairs to be confronted by the biggest bugger I'd ever seen and her bedroom in total chaos. Thankfully it didn't take too long to catch it with a glass and paper otherwise it could have been a long night and normal service was restored. I did kinda feel guilty leaving them to it for so long . Where do people get this fear from though,is it from other people?! |
