Loved this episode and there were times that Capaldi sounded like Tom Baker.

Hmmmmm another Moffat Long Game? After all, Who revealed that Galifrey still existed in Day of the Doctor?

Middle of the road for me. This series started well. Went downhill a bit after Masie Williams' character joined

I found it quite scary at the beginning. I liked it and he reminded me a bit of Tom Baker too. He seems more like the Doctors of my day.

Didn't do it for me Capadili is a good actor - just not as the Doctor for me.

But its interesting - can't remember a dr dividing the whovians so much. Love or loathe with little in between

Capaldi is a great doctor, just a shame about the scripts! I really enjoyed the pay off at the end though, interesting thoughts about eternity and the concept of the raindrop on the mountain. One of the better episodes

I thought the use of a parable style plot showed a distinct lack of fresh ideas .....

I don't watch it all the time so miss a lot of the story line,

But for me Jenna Coleman just about beats Billie Piper as the Doctors sexiest companion

What a flat episode, it started well, but I was expecting something totally different. I thought the hybrid would be presented as a new dangerous nemesis.

We had done all the sentimental bullshit 2 weeks ago.

it feels like Steven Muppet had been trapped in his own personal hell - a room full of Rose/9 Rose/10 pics - with an endless loop of people telling him RTD was better than him, and the only way out was to try and one-up that, so he created Clara The Impossible To Get Rid Of Girl, which meant the Dr became a character SO flawed that he would go to every extreme to save even though he doesnt appear to have any real chemistry with her, and thus the last three seasons were born. And someone took the Muppet part too seriously and with their hand so far up Moffat's ass, they signed off on it all and SOMEHOW it ended up being on telly.

Hmmmmm that's what I thought,a wee bit quirky,and unexpected.

I really liked it.

Although I must confess,I completely missed the Muppet bit.

briliant concept, the nay Sayers will be quiet when it ties into future episodes, he went home ffs, if you don't get the gravity of the Dr going home to galifrey, then might I suggest watching eastenders or something like that? I know hollioaks yeah that's more your speed

Ive been a die hard dr who fan for years before its revival watching it is one of my youngest memories of bonding with my dad over it so completely get the gravity of the action of the Dr going home to Galifrey, it's a shame the writers didn't do it justice in these final episodes of this series, there is time to correct it within future series but I fear it won't be portrayed well with Capaldi at the helm

We really enjoyed this episode in our house. In fact have enjoyed most of the new series.

So pleased to have a 'proper' doctor again. Matt Smith just seemed to young and boyish.

Loved it, personally. This season has been strong, a few clunker stories (like that Gatiss episode with Reece Shearsmith), but apart from that, I'm loving Capaldi as the Doctor. He's old school. Wasn't a fan of Matt Smith at all, so anything was going to be an improvement!!

Someone mentioned a spin-off, there will be one next year called 'Class' set at Danny and Clara's school, but don't expect either of them to be in it. I think it's going to be more 'Buffy' than anything else.
