The man that created the 501st legion, Albin Johnson, his daughter Katie had a brain tumour and he wanted a pink r2:d2 for his daughter, the r2 builders club made her one, to watch over her at the hospital, sadly the little girl died.
Mary Franklin of Lucasfilms asked Albin to approach the lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy to see if the pink droid could be included in the new film in honour of the little girl and it's been confirmed that it is featured!!
So watch out for R2:KT x |

Love the star war films but it makes it that little bit more special when you hear something like this. Just wish a lot more people would be more caring and thoughtful. Well done.   |

There comes a point where the love that people carry for a thing transcends the thing itself. JJ Abrahams has said that if the fans don't enjoy it then there's no point, I'm starting to feel a little like this new film could be epic; a new saga written for the fans, by fans with fans at the heart |

any JarJar Binks type fuckery just to sell merchandise to the kids can sod right off! Hopefully JJ Abrahams is far too astute to do anything like that!
Anyway that reminds me ... Must buy tickets for Sumday 20th before they sell out! |
