"Its jolly windy here in dashed soggy Wales "
Could be a wonderfully bracing early morning walk in the hills! Wrap up warm in your barbour, pooch chasing the wind as you warm yourself with your hip flask, the wind'll be to brisk to lunt I'd wager! Save it for the fire side. |

"The weather outside is frightful...
....but the fire is so delightful!
We're sadly out of coal. But to be honest it's not actually cold."
That's not the next line of the song |

"We're going to be storm-lashed apparently
Typical. Must be a weekend."
Now you mention it. It is always weekend weather that is dismal. I'm freezing cold, the heating in the block is on the blink. New build and every week something goes wrong. |

"Not particularly windy here, but at least it's stopped raining. I might venture out to Tesco in a while to get some lamb for a pasanda "
Lamb for curry, i always try and find neck, and slow cook it. Obviously a bit late for that this evening. |

Mrs Fandango will of course be creating the most wondrous Yorkshire puddings! Second only to her heavenly roast potatoes that are without comparison! |

I have foregone the weather outside since it is frightful and I have a cold and made the sensible decision to stay in making empanadas. I have enough pastry left over that I might even knock up pudding for tomorrow. |

What a delightfully warming meal! What desert will you create? Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall made a wonderful television program entitled "Treats from the Edwardian county house" i think you could take inspiration from it. |

My house was built smack bang in the middle of the Edwardian erase so I may do so. I am thinking bramble jam tarts. |
