Hiya Everyone!
As some may already know, back in the US today is Thanksgiving. I know it isn't a British holiday, but indulge me today, please!
For me, it is a tradition with friends and family to go around the table and say what we are thankful for. So in that spirit, I am thankful for my friends and family in the US, my new friends in the UK, and for the friends here who offer humor and support. Thank you!
What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving, most of my friends are celebrating today so I hope they all have a lovely day.
Today I'm thankful for the hugs I got from my kids this morning, all coming into bed for them, always the best for me. |

"I wondered what thanksgiving was about. I thought it was about the Plymouth settlers being thankful for surviving. "
It was the first few years were very tough for the early settlers, a number died

"I wondered what thanksgiving was about. I thought it was about the Plymouth settlers being thankful for surviving. "
Thanksgiving, when you look at the history of it, is actually rather embarrassing. The earlier settlers couldn't survive the harsh winters in north America so the Indians taught them how to harvest the right crops, and shared their food. The settlers were thankful for that. But then slaughtered all the Indians in subsequent years.
We don't talk about the slaughtering now. We just eat the food and give thanks.

I'm thankful I still have my parents around at the moment, bringing up a delightful 16 year old, experiencing uncontitional love from my dogs and being happy |

I'm eternally thankful for the love of my parents. Thankful for the way they brought me up and the love they showed me. I wouldn't be here without them. It's made me the man I am today.
I'm also thankful for the fun and friendship I've found on this website. It's been a real joy |
