I remember watching the episode of I'm Alan Partridge where he goes to meet the BBC editor for lunch to ask for a second series of his chat show, and crying with laughter. Which is your show/comedian? |

Rhod Gilbert or Billy Connolly for volume of laughs, but John Bishop's male grooming story was possibly the funniest.
However a couple of threads on here have left me close to exhaustion from laughing so much. |

Brendan Burns has me in fits of laughter. So I Suppose THIS Is Offensive Now is a brilliant bit of comedy that pokes you into challenging your prejudices. |

Kevin Bridges has everything, great story's, amazing point of view and possible the best timing I have ever seen, genius. Sean Lock and Frankie Boyle I also love.
Actually can I change too Frankie? Amazing joke's, clearly intelligent and pushes the mark, gets very near to the line in the sand, infact I don't think he even see's it! Awesome! |

"Dara O'Briain is my favourite. I don't usually cry with laughter, but I definitely had face ache after the last time I saw him."
Saw dara live. I actually hurt afterwards from laughing so hard |

"I like Ross Noble's stand up.
Ross Noble for me too. Meat flaps is my favourite and still makes me laugh out very loud.
"
Meat Flaps was the first Ross Noble routine I ever saw. It's worth another look. In fact I'm off to You Tube now |

Eddie Izzard once had me literally weeping with laughter, unable to breath - the drilling cats bit I think it was (Him).
We both recently saw James Acaster who was brilliant! |

Have seen many comics at the Fringe and elsewhere, some great , some not. Some of the best live were Rik Mayal just as he was breaking through. Rowan Atkinson did a tour with Angus Deyton as his assistant, the school exam sketch was hilarious. Saw Spike, my absolute hero. Early Eddie Izzard unbelievably funny. |

Titz Towers, North Notts |
Tom Binns and Ben Briggs. Both aren't as well known as they should be, but both are totally excellent.
Binns has 2 top notch character acts and a wonderful ventriloquist show and can fill a bill all on his own.
Briggs can split rooms, as his material is dark, but it is extremely funny. He remains the only comedian I've seen this year out of hundreds (yes, I am a big live comedy fan) who has accidentally started a fracas in a club.

I saw Peter Kay on his "Tour that doesn't tour, tour". Not long in some people were having a domestic in the top tier of the stand in the arena and security had to be called. He stopped what he was doing pulled up a chair, beer in hand and was giving a running commentary until the people got thrown out. Was so funny |

Billy Connolly, genius, his sketch about the rhythm method of contraception had me in tears.
Peter Kay live at the Blackpool Tower is comedy gold.
Frankie Boyle, controversial but funny as he'll at times.
Paul Merton his live improvised stuff is just incredible, had me laughing so much it hurt, he wasn't even appearing, was at the bar at the comedy club and got dragged up on stage! |

Just has to be Bob Monkhouse.
I got roped in to going to see him live and only knowing his TV persona I was dreading it.
What a revelation. He was quick with superb ad libs and absolutely hysterical.
As the old song goes. "I came away with a different point of view"
Not forgetting Ken Dodd, Frank Carson and the brilliant Les Dawson.
But as someone said earlier, I'm from the older generation. |

Ed Miliband
He absolutely cracked me up. The way he looked, spoke, his agendas but the funniest thing of all was that he thought he was good enough to run the Country.
What a clown LOL! |

"James Acaster, Mark Watson, John kearns, pappys "
Ahh mark Watson, I remember seeing him 10 years ago!
There's a newish comedian no idea of his name, but he had me in stitches at the comedy club in Notts and since then I've seen him a lot on telly and never failed to disappoint.
Then there's Russell Howard and John bishop |
