I buy 4 puff pastry ones and eat two straight off. I save the other two for the evening. I could probably eat 4 a day  |

Mr Kipling. They have like a mince pie jam in the middle, regular white icing and little green & red sprinkles on top. Or the festive swirls I think they're called.  |

Co-op ones are brandy flavoured. Not as sweet as the regular ones. |

I use spiced rum. 
The recipe i use is a hugh fearnley whittingstall recipe. Its more of a traditional recipe and had minced beef in it. |

I know what you mean...i had The same thoughts. I was dubious to say the least but the meat is untraceable in the finished product. |

I suppose it takes on the flavour of the rum. Still difficult to get my head around but I think the texture will be nice. |

I have no idea when I last had a mince pie I've always been on a diet at Christmas for about the last six years.
Only one way to eat a mince pie is take the lid off out Stilton cheese in, warm it up and melt it and put the lid back on |
