Will they ever find a cure

Will they ever find a cure for cancer? Yet again it has taken another close friend. I received a call early hours to say a dear friend who has been like a second mum to me passes away. She was diagnosed begining of last week and passed away late last night. I know that at some point in our lifetime we will all know someone who has had cancer or maybe ourselves will have had it like I had. But it does make me wonder are we actually any closer to finding a cure, or will there never be a cure for it? Iv lost so so many special peopl over the year including my dad and even a nice at five years old through to a best friend and various other friends and family members. I was one of the lucky ones and I survived mine but there is a lot out there who don't survive it. Sorry I'm waffling on a bit

Sorry to here about Ur loss. Cancer is such a horrible disease. Read up about Dr. Royal r rife. He had a cure in the 1930's but it's a multi billion pound income. I know if its horrible, but they will never want to find a cure.

More people survive now with more drugs and treatment available.I think it's time ,if caught in time makes it more treatable .Years ago alot of drugs weren't used or available .So its improving just people are living longer and getting cancer and other diseases due to old age.

How can something as horrible as cancer be a multi billion pound income?and why would they never want a cure?

Sorry for your loss.

I lost my mum earlier this year and myself have had cancer.

I hope in time there will be a cure...meanwhile it's a matter of checking ourselves and not being to stubborn to seek medical advice so if something is found you at least have a fighting chance.

Sorry for your loss hun. I lost my uncle earlier in the year. He had battled for 10 years with his cancer. It truly is a devastating disease to see someone go through. I keep my fingers crossed that one day by the time my 12 yr old reaches my age they may be a huge step closer to that magic cure!!! Big big hugs xxx

Sorry to hear about the loss of your close friend. Cancer has taken my lovely dad, and other family members, but treatment and screening is improving.

Early detection is so important, so check yourself and your partner and see your GP about any changes to the norm.

It's an absolutely horrible thing, a cousin of ours has only been given a few months and I would do anything for it to go away

A lot of cancers can be cured/in remission under the right circumstances.

I hate comments like this. So essentially the entire medical profession is lying to us? Thousands and thousands of oncologists are breaking their hypocratic oath and chuckling into their face masks as all these people die? Don't be so ridiculous

Read about the doctor I said. 100% of donations don't go what it's meant for. I've lost family to cancer, it horrible.

They won't find a singular cure because cancer is a catch all term for a host of different things that have similar disease paths. I'm afraid it's a one by one process to find cures for each specific combination

Sorry to hear of your loss OP & all who have lost loved ones to cancer.

Big hugs for everyone! Yes, you too.

I firmly believe that cancer is man made & that there is a cure. I have no facts to back this up, its just my belief. I'm not saying it was deliberately created either.

Our hearts go out to you, we've both had parents taken from us too soon by this terrible disease. The toll that this single affliction takes on humanity is staggering x
