...do you ever stand talking to someone and in your mind think "I wonder how they would respond if I just hit them up the face right now?".

...all the while, you have a sweet smile on your face, belaying nothing....

I generally don't pick randoms to want to smack in the mouth. This random has been consistent in my life for 10 years and he has the face I'd never tire of smacking. In fact, if I'd done it the first time he was an arsehole I could have been out by now and the hero of many!

I doubt if I would voluntarily stay, talk and be civilised with people I despise for long!

I am no good at being two-faced!

I have on a few occasions but i also do meditation which is fantastic for frustrating circumstances.

Same here. I can't talk to someone I don't like.... and that's where the smoking ban comes in very handy lol.

I'd like to point out that in no way am I a sociopath. However, this man has the same effect on everyone who knows him, with the exception perhaps of his wife, who we assume makes him wear a gimp suit in his spare time which is why he's such a bully towards everyone else.

I don't think there's anyone else I'd like to smack in the mouth.

ok...there is an inference I spend my time with folk i don't like....not at all, though I am sharing some on-line space with folk that can't read and/or understand a question :0P

I have spoke to close friends about this and just sometimes, you can be in a happy, relaxed atmosphere and the mind wanders and sometimes it wonders how folk would react if I did something totally outlandish, like just reach out and smack someone.

it's not happened...yet.....

That's really weird, you've made me remember something I'd forgotten years ago.

I used to get that feeling towards my father when I was in my teens/twenties.

We'd be talking together, perfectly amicably, and the urge to give him a slap would suddenly come over me and I'd start laughing inside.

I never did of course, he was my dad after all and had done nothing to anger me.

The urge came without warning, totally unprovoked, and only with my father.

It always left me feeling uneasy. R

P.S: Feel like I've just got off the psychiatrists couch now.

..it never does seem to need provoking!

i hear what you say about the laughing though...it does seem instantly ludicrous!
