Largely because porn is made by men for men.
I discussed this with a fem friend recently. The whole 'deep throat' thing is a complete misnomer - the sensitive bit of a cock is at the tip, just like the sensitive bit of your 'bits' is the 1st few inches.
Hence deep throat blow jobs and guys with 14" cocks are more about how good it looks on screen than anything else.
