So, you find someone attractive physically, they have a body and face that is appealing and now you are chatting. Everything they are saying is good, you seem to click.
Is there something that could happen at this point that could make you lose that initial attraction? If you are only interested in having sex with them, as opposed to a relationship, would you go ahead with it or let it go?

"Asking for a friend? "
No. Just a thought I was having when reading another thread. Its not related to a friend or myself, for that matter....

there are a million and one things that they could do or say that would complately put me off...most of them probably utterly unreasonable to anyone else, but i'm sure we all have our own likes and dislikes, and yes, if something put me off,i would stop being attracted to them, and so,no wouldn't go ahead... |

Courtney! There are so many.
1. Fart loudly down the phone and laugh like a drain.
2. Shout abusively at their mother about the state of the 'ironed' shirt.
3. Say they put their dog down cos they were bored with it.
4. Pick their nose.
5. Say they put salt on a 'fat bird's' cake to help her with her weight problem.
List is endless.

For me, it would be if they dropped the L bomb. Not that is ever likely to happen.
Or a controversial or outrageous viewpoint (you know the 'actually Hitler had a point' type people) or the 'bareback' suggestion etc.
In that case, no I wouldn't meet.. |

Well, if my mother doesn't iron the shirt better, then how else is she supposed to learn?

Dunno, if it's just sex I'd probably still fuck them if I wanted to. If it was a complete loss of attraction (where I don't even enjoy their company), I probably wouldn't.
I still fucked my exes after they broke my heart cos I wanted sex. It wasn't connected to liking them as people, purely functional for me. |

I imagine there's lots of things. I guess if they are physically attractive then that's not going to alter my opinion of them. They'll always be physically attractive to me regardless. Unless they put on like 20 stone overnight or grow a beard or something!
It would have to be something they said or the way they act. Maybe something that shows up in their personality which I hadn't initially spotted.
Even if I was meeting someone just for sex they still can't be what I deem to be "a bit of a moron" or a "bit of an arsehole", whichever way you want to look at it. Any sign of that and it's over. That's a turn off for me. |

I guess I was thinking more of trivial things. Like, if everything was leaning towards having sex and someone said they were X (X being a member of a political party you don't like; a supporter of a sports team you don't like; anything seemingly unrelated to the sexual act you are about to take part in).
I should have been clearer in my post

Not long ago somebody I found very attractive suddenly became less appealing as they started to make demands about how I presented myself (makeup, type of clothes etc). I didn't meet them as I lost a lot of respect for them. |

I went on a date with a Republican once. But when I went back to his room after he showed me his Ann Coulter book. That was our last date.

loads of guys put me off them.
i know we're using each other for sex, but once they make it obvious i lose interest like that.
also if they're racist, homophobic, or anything i find closed minded, that puts me off. |

Yes, you need to be clearer next time Courtney!
Probably if they said they were deeply religious. And I'm talking a full on religious weirdo here! That just wouldn't work for me. |

If someone was one of those things it would be fine. If they were one of those things and decided to tell me all about how I'm wrong because I think something opposite or believe something different then they can take a hike. |

I have been in two relationships where I've lost the attraction. It has affected nothing in my case except my will to continue the relationship. And my self esteem of course |

Oh, in which case, unless they're an arse about it, then no. I've never had a problem with different people's ideals or beliefs unless they've tried ramming them down my throat |

Loads of things...they could show themselves to be an ugly person in one way or another...when we meet others we generally portray ourselves a certain way...sometimes the facade slips. |

Only one this time on, we agreed to a coffee then he began with 'just come to mine, come to mine, come to mine'. This on the Saturday and despite knowing I had plans with the ladies in the city.
Needless to say, I had a cracking time with the ladies but didn't get a coffee and I won't be going to his
Much more reluctant to arrange meets but i could be tempted to arrange any more at the Christmas Market |

A racist remark would instantly put me off, coming from any race.
Snobbery.
Telling me what to wear.
Telling me how we're going to behave on a social meet (with me wearing his choice of short skirt and stockings).
Telling me they want an exclusive relationship.
Talking about women who have had a lot of partners in a negative way.
Most other things I can overlook I think. But there's probably more. |

I can't believe that anyone would pull that kinda shit
To me a social is a chance to get to know someone, not an opportunity to give your wish list a day out |
