I'm in work at the mo listening to my trusty Aerosmith "pump" CD then I remember that I bought it in November '89 upon its original release ..26 years ago!!!
Which lead me to thinking that a month after that I went to my first proper concert ..Aerosmith at wembley in Dec 89.
Love to hear other people's "firsts".. |

I can't remember which came first but it was in 1988 at wembley and it was either George Michael Faith tour or wet wet wet popped in souled out tour. Fond memories of that year. There is no way i'd be comfortable with my 15 year old daughter going Wembley with her friends alone. How times have changed. |

First one I really remember was the Wonder Stuff in March 89. Saw them most recently in September and there;s probably been well over 50, probably closer to a hundred other Wonder Stuff gigs between those 2! |

I've been to see wet wet wet numerous times and saw marti when he was in Chicago. I'm also deadly jealous of one of my relatives who regularly serves him when he pops into waitrose where she works |

"David Bowie 1973 Hammersmith Odeon and Ziggy died "
My dad wanted to call me Ziggy if I'd been a boy!!!
My 1st was New Kids on the Block for my 13th birthday
1st "grown up" gig was Carter USM at Birmingham Hummingbird in 1992. I was 16. Brilliant night diving from the balcony & still went to school the next day |

The first gig I paid to attend was Bon Jovi.
However, some years previously, The House Martins played a free concert near where I lived. I don't remember, but I'm told I loved dancing in that field! |

After they got back together in 2007 I saw everyone of their gigs. 12 months to the day since the farewell gigs and they were amazing nights. Made so many friends thanks to that band and had so many amazing nights, may have had some grit in my eye at the end of the night! The tributes to Jon Fat Beast both nights were incredibly touching |

I used to love Bon Jovi when I was in my teens and twenties and for nostalgia I've been listening to them a bit lately and really enjoying it.
I'd actually like to see them too but I don't think I could without Sambora in the band because they just won't sound the same. His vocal input was massive not just his guitar playing.
If he rejoined I'd buy a ticket tomorrow I think. |

It is strange without him but still an excellent gig!! Have seen them twice without him. I can't see him coming back anytime soon |

I saw both them bands several times in the early 90's and loved them both. But I bet the Levellers fans hated the manics almost as much as the Nanics would have hated a bunch of crusties!
First time I saw the manics Richie was such a bad guitarist his guitar wasn't plugged in! |

Darts at De Montfort Hall in Leicester was my first probably in the late 1970s.
Since then i have seen hundreds over the years in various different venues, mostly rock groups.
Next saturday i am seeing my beloved Stereophonics and next year my equally beloved Muse and Coldplay ... |

Been to over 500 gigs but the first was Jerry Lee Lewis in 1976 as my parents couldn't get a babysitter so they took me along. My last gig was a few days ago, an industry showcase for unsigned bands to network.
I'm jealous of some of you guys. Prince in 1986!! I've seen him about 40 times but missed that tour. I have one of the gigs on DVD and it's a great soul revue show.... Ziggy's farewell gig!! Another that I have on DVD. Legendary concert. |

It was a brilliant show, really got me hooked on him. Still think the 88 show was his best visually. But for atmosphere, the last night at the o2, and the small Camden show I went to last year were the best. |
