Do you think it will ever get to the point where we create life, I mean we can grow organs already and Cern are very busy discovering new science's
Science fiction becomes fact at times.

Well the classic description says your brain the physical thing- making decisions / perceiving etc.
And your mind is - you. As an individual.
So can we replicate the intelligence - yes of course. Turing machine was first, now we have all sorts of ai.
But the mind?
Some say the mind is to the brain - like the head of fizz is on a pint. Might've been what's his name, Dawkins |

its the next step in human evolution...whether its a hybridization or our extinction.
as machines we can travel the stars, consume energy from the stars
in our first phase of automation though..machines will take away many thousands of jobs...I see this as a fact.
our tech is moving on ten fold..in 10 years time most will look back and say..
"iphones...how retro!!!!" |

AI as it is right now is very low functioning, crap even. In science terms though it's actually doing really well.
Transhumanism is looking very possible and much more likely to be what would replace humans as they are now.

"we can already create life isn't it called having babies "
not exactly 'creating'..AI would mean something from nothing essentially, our creating is simply using up existing matter and then it forms its own conciousness, with a bit of nurture/nature.
