I hope it's respected, then as tragic as the events are a line can be drawn and we move on. Never to be forgotten, of course, but normality must be resumed.

I honestly don't see the relevance, at the international friendly between England and France, sure

But it's over egging things now

I'd also question if it's genuinely meant. Or if it's simply a way to exercise pre-existing feelings.

Acts such as these are for those who want to offer support or share grief to show their emotions sensibly, as always they're voluntary and - as long as the sentiment isn't scorned - then nobody minds if a person doesn't want to join in. It is a personal statement.

What makes the French national anthem - La Marseillaise - so suitable is it's words for, though written for a "tyranny" long since gone, it would make a fitting universal "anti-terror" anthem.

Thoroughly agree. If they don't do it for another terror attack does it mean they don't care that time?
