They do still exist in public places, including licensed sexual premises, as mentioned above. In the olden days people were famously public spirited and they were created for the common good. Today's society wants the benefit without investing effort etc.
Soho and much of London is going through gentrification and is less likely than Walsall to have any public ones.
Over the years they've been in porn places, cafes, bars, showers, toilets and probably as many different types of establishment as you can think of. Sometimes supported by owners, due to increased trade. Or possibly their own sex fun.
Until the mindset is there to help make them again, their benefits will not become commonplace again. |
