I do a bit of presenting here and there and am looking into getting a graphics tablet of sorts to aid with this..
Ideally I'd like something like a Wacom cindiq, where I am able to see the screen as opposed to the traditional types of graphics tablets...
Having looked at prices, I'm thinking a normal tablet such as an asus note is a better option.
I'm not looking to create awesome graphics, just annotations on powerpoints etc during presentations.....
Thanking you in advance! |

"Why exactly do you need a graphics tablet to do this? I don't understand.
Buying a Cintiq for a few Powerpoint presentations is ridiculous!"
Absolutely agree... I'm looking for something similar, that will allow me to annotate powerpoints/PDFs etc that are displayed on a large screen via a slate/tablet....
So far the cheapest option available is the Wacom intuos - which doesn't have a display.... |

I'm probably being a bit thick but I still don't understand what exactly you need it for.
For personal notes while you deliver the presentation?
To actually create the presentation?
To make notes on the presentation while you do it? |

Personally, my experience tells me that you'll struggle with anything that's not windows based. Most of the online/app based versions of office are really stripped back compared to the full proper version.
On a side note, if you do a few presentations there are other options, not just PowerPoint. Check out Prezi, it turns out a completely different type of presentation. It's dead cheap too (even free options to get you going).

to make annotations whilst delivering a presentation eg to learners.... Much more convenient than use a whiteboard or even an interactive whiteboard...
Lenovo seem to have a thinkpad that's compatible with the Wacom pens..and at £360 it's the cheapest I can find... |

I've experienced Prezi and it's pretty snazzy though takes a little longer to set up than a normal PowerPoint - depending on the purpose, the results can be worth it. |

Personally I think it's a bit of a one trick pony, but it's good every now and then to produce something different. |

Windows phone - would that be too small a screen? Certainly amazing value and shortly most will get a free Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. Then even better compatibility with pcs and fluidity (made up term, sharing stuff between devices). Office 365 included on them too. They're below your budget but the new Windows 10 phones can be hooked up to a large screen and operate like a computer. |

Pretty much going to be your best option. After that a Surface Pro (£700+). |

If there's one that's a phablet size - they could work - I've not considered that as an option...will see if Google can help show me how to set one up! Thanks! |

Ah, fair enough... I should have simply said if like cintiq functionality - but at a fraction of the cost. Will try to source a thinkpad - there's one that's wireless and acts as a monitor ...pretty much what I need |
