Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Tomorrow (19th November) is International Men's Day.
The theme this year is Make a Difference for Men and Boys.
Levels of mental ill-health, suicide and violence against men are on the increase so it's worth looking at the CALM website (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and at the new Eaton Foundation.
IMD is a chance to celebrate the role men play in our lives, their contributions and, this year, the difference we can make for our men and boys.

thanks for all the well wishing ladies ....
however the reason for international mens days is to raise awarenes of male specific issues. some little known facts ....
Men are 16% more likely to develop cancer and 40% more likely to die from cancer than women .... more awareness and screening programs please
over 75% of suicides in the uk are male .... more awareness and help please
65% of low achievers in the uk education system are boys ... more work needed to engage boys in education please.
stand by your man and help fight male inequality

Taking the time to reflect on what it is to be a man today is also important.

I was just going to post about this but you beat me by 19hours!
Well I'm not sure the whole thing is necessary but it's the first time I've heard about Broga A firm secret handshake to one and all. |
