Debating getting a new kitten for my birthday. Ive already got two cats and have been resisting getting another one. But found myself looking on the cats protection website earlier.
Anyone else getting a new pet soon? |

"I would love to, but I'm not sure my existing two would ever forgive me "
2008 i introduced a kitten to my 17 year old cat. I thought id started world war three, then my old lady realised she still got all the cuddles she wanted but also the kitten came with extra yummy kitten food lol. |

I got a wee collie puppy in July...as soon as I did I remember how much hard work they are! He's now 6 months old and is a little angel well not so little he's 20kg and knocks me over when I come in the door. I am very undecided over getting another one, I know he would live a friend and I would love another but I don't think I can do the puppy thing again...I've seen a rescue dog I've got my eye on...now to work on the Mr. |

Haha! Mine already hate each other (they're brother and sister so it's not like they haven't always been together) so I worry if I got another one, two of them might gang up on the other. Or all 3 might just fight and then I'd have to hoover up clumps of fur even more frequently then I already do |

"It's still too soon for me having lost mine fairly recently. My house feels weird without a cat in it but I am a firm believer that cats choose you and it'll happen when it happens."
That is true, but fate can always use a helping hand.
The last cat i adopted was living in the sheds behind my flats. And before that there was a poor old lady who got handed into the vets, all skin and bones she was and i couldnt leave her there. So then i had 4. |

I fostered 2 King Charles spaniels in July that no one wanted as they had to be re homed together due to one being deaf and relying on the other from the same place I rehomed my cat from. They are now permanent residents and were 4 days after " coming to stay for a week or two" totally adore all 3 of them |

Cuter than a pigmy hedgehog. She is a wild one we found on night, cold wet and nearly dead about 7 weeks ago. Weighed 110 grams so wasn't going to make hiberation so she's over wintering with us. Very very cute, comes and sits with you |

Good for you Hedgehogs will even use a litter tray if you show them where it is a few times. They seem to "use" the wood based litter more, but on a surface lower than a cat litter tray. I use an old plastic tray. |

She likes a box of sawdust to use a latrine, but had to had her nails trimmed because she's not wearing them down digging in soil. I hide her mealworns in a dish of peat for her to forrage in |

I always said I would never have more pets as I lived in a little flat. My friend found 2 cats in her shed, the baby was about 2-3 week's old but almost dead, and the mum was severely underfed.
She couldn't keep them as they reacted badly to her Chihuahua, and the rscpa said if they took them they would have to let the kitten take its course as they didn't have time or resources to look after her and if they got too full (it was near Xmas) they may have to put mum down.
I offered to look after them temporarily and nursed the baby by hand. 2 years later I couldn't imagine being without them. Now I have to work on cin to let me get another to keep them company lol |
