I have been going grey since I was 14, and am comfortable with having a near full head of greys.

The colour suits me, and I do not have to worry about the roots showing, ever!

Long hair does not suit me, and my hair is so strong it takes a lot of chemicals in order to take the perm.

So strong that the hair may break after the perm, and the perm does not last long.

Also, I have a double crown, which makes the hair very difficult to cut.

Providing I find a very good cutter, then I am happy.

Hence I have only had 4 hairdressers since 1989 - one for every relocation.

Me and my hair have a terrible relationship. My hair prefers the Medusa look and some days it wins, other days I get forceful with the Frizz ease and I win, but not for long

Dont really have any problems with mine.Apart from its so bloody thick.

And it grows very fast.

The colour is all mine But on occasions i put a semi permenant colour on just to warm it up somewhat ,tone it down really.

Oh and right now....It needs a trim

I have a love/hate relationship with mine too.

It takes alot of time to make it look anywhere near decent (and then men wonder why I can't do last minute meets haha).

It's not too bad for about a fortnight after it's been cut but then after that it starts to get on my nerves.

Turn left at the Singing Ringing Tree

I find that every time I get close to my hair appointment, my hair behaves itself, does exactly what I want and looks good. Then I get it cut and for the next four weeks it has a mind of it's own!

I used to hate my hair colour, due to all the names associated with being a redhead and then some, but now I've learned to live with it.

North Bristol

Hate mine. It's thick and almost curly - except it frizzes, it doesn't hold a curl. My last hairdresser was black and said it was the closest to afro hair she has ever seen on a white person. She dealt with it really well, but I moved

I have had it chemically straightened and more recently tried the brazillian blowdry - it looked FAB for one day then went back to it's usual unruly self. Waste of £200 that was .

To dry and straighten my hair after it's been washed takes me an hour to an hour and a half, depending how straight I want it.

I'm also going grey and have been since I was 27 so I have to dye it.

"mine goes down the plug hole every morning "

Oh god... mine doesn't! Have you ever cleaned the plug hole of dead hair?!

*vomits*

I stick mine to the wall in the shower then flush it when I'm finished!

I like my hair... much better now. I have naturally curly hair and have spent years straightening it. I finally decided to embrace the curl and stopped with the two hour straightening sessions. It's properly thick and there's a lot of it. I've been going grey since my early 20's so have been dyeing it for a number of years. Now I generally just paint my roots.

But in terms of styling... I just wash it, stick some frizz free stuff in it and blast it with the diffuser. it looks pretty much the same every day, long and messy!
