Dear Fabbers Forumites and Friends.
Goodness me what a kerfuffle going on outside, is seems Barney the Storm has hit North Wales.
He is outside my home now jolly well roaring away like billy-o . Pooch and I braved a wander on our Hill earlier, heavens to Betsy it was jolly old hit and miss. Spiffingly strong gust buffeted Pooch and I about for all we are dashed worth.
We have retired to the relative safety of Taffy Towers. The log burner is lit and Barney is held at bay. We are on the Sofa listening to the Latest Richard Hawley CD , rather melodious it is too.
I have been questioning Pooch about this recent phenomenon of naming our storms. I understand this happens with weather systems all over the world but seems to me only recent here, Abigail now Barney .So chums I am guessing the next one will start with C
At this juncture Pooch would like to add before we get to our question of the evening. The weather is going to get chillier, so please don’t forget our feathered friends and stock up your bird feeders. Thank you
Ok since we are naming our weather now , could we compile a list of forumites, I could send away to the met office as suggestions for the next few storms.

Always thought names of hurricanes and tornados etc were named after the person who spotted it in the met office or wherever they spot the weather!

Seriously though, just been out and saw a piece of metal (probably a bit of road sign) about 5' x 4' flying across the road at head hight, just missed a car that slammed its brakes on. Had it hit a cyclist or pedestrian it would have decapitated them |
