Hey all, I've been quiet on these forums these past few months I realise.

Just hoping you people may be able to come up with some good ideas to help me, my family and friends raise some funds for my little cousin that needs medical help, there's at least an 8 month waiting list to be investigated, and so we're hoping to raise the cash to pay so it can be looked at much sooner.

I'm not scrounging from you lot here, just asking for ideas on what I can do to raise funds, I can hardly offer to shave my head eh.

A justgiving or similar account with links/pages on all your social network accounts. You could even have a link here if its not against site rules.

hi how about writing to big companies and ask them if they can donate a prize that you could auction/ raffle off. then do a family fun day (face painting bouncy castles cake stalls etc..)and auction the prizes off. do a bottle tombola too (can be a bottle of anything (hand soap, washing up liquid etc.. )

our village did something similar for a local child and together we raised over £7000 .. it was amazing to see the villages coming together.. good luck .. if you want any more ideas just pm us . thinking of you and your family xx

You could see if there is a related charity,(there often is) and ask for their advice re fundraising, they are experts.

Good luck though mate xx

years ago when my sister needed 2 kornea transplants we had loads of fundraising nights, the usual race nights cabaret pool darts, the lot,but one that always sticks out to me was the silver mile,

people donate the silver in their pockets over the course of a few weeks and you basically make a mile of it,not in a straight line obviously, lol

hope shes ok,and good luck

im involved in a similar thing at the moment trying to raise 380,000 for my grandaughters best friend who is very poorly and treatment is only available in the USA.. WE HAVE raised 19000 in the last 2 months by school fundraising,go fund me ,just giving, face book , twitter, your own website , fun runs, kids party.a recipe book. a good money spinner was getting all the ladies to sort through their jewellery boxes for odd earings that made a thousand pounds and is ongoing .. you could do a campaign ... is "name here" worth their weight in gold ???....
